Change how subscription based companies charge you after trial periods end.
If a company provides a subscription based service with a free or cheaper initial trial period, then that company must provide the consumer with an "opt in" option that renews the subscription of their services at the higher regular charge, once their initial trial period has ended.
In the UK laws should be in place to protect consumers from losing money through small print and websites designed to capitalise on the consumer forgetting to opt out.
Currently, websites that cater to many different markets entice the consumer to sign up with a cheaper than normal subscription or free trial period, they then capitalise on consumers forgetting to cancel once their trial has expired.
Sometimes it can go unnoticed for months that money has been leaving your account.
