Make wearing face masks compulsory in shops.

Petition Details

Give shops the power to force the wearing of face masks whilst in the premises.

Additional Information

People are not wearing face masks whilst shopping and because it's not compulsory shop staff are powerless to refuse entry to the premises for that reason alone, and for theirs and our protection we need to act.

It is already a criminal offence not to wear a face covering in certain places, unless you are exempt or have a reasonable excuse: www.gov.uk/government/publications/face-coverings-when-to-wear-one-and-how-to-make-your-own/face-coverings-when-to-wear-one-and-how-to-make-your-own
