Self employed to still be able to work in tier 5 lockdown

Petition Details

I would like to make sure if we go in to lock down or a tier 5 that I can still work in people's houses.

Additional Information

I am a self employed trade man and the only person bringing in a wage to support myself and my family of 5. I don't have savings and the money I would receive from a grant wouldn't even come close to what I need to cover a months worth of bills

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

In the latest National lockdown restrictions, the Government has stated that:
"Where it is necessary for you to work in other people’s homes - for example, for nannies, cleaners or tradespeople - you can do so."
