Keep schools closed and keep businesses open in tier 4
COVID-19 and the new strain of covid is clearly moving through schools easily. Keeping businesses open is more important then keeping schools open. Schools should only be kept open for vulnerable child and finale GCSE and A level years. Remote learning should be available for all other years
Vote and keep schooled closed whilst allowing businesses to reopen.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Since you started your petition the Government has announced a new national lockdown, including the close of schools. You can read the Prime Minister's announcement of new Covid-19 restrictions, including school closures, here: www.gov.uk/government/speeches/prime-ministers-address-to-the-nation-4-january-2021
If you want certain or all businesses to be exempted from current requirements to close you could start a new petition requesting this.
