Petition Action

A week long national holiday when Covid-19 has been defeated.

Petition Details

I think the UK government should, once the Covid-19 pandemic is over, introduce a one off, week long national holiday to mourn the people we have lost and celebrate the resolve and resilience of the UK public.

Additional Information

During the week long holiday, pubs should be fully open and a 'drink out to mourn and celebrate' scheme introduced, along the lines of 'Eat out to help out'. Drinks are half price with the other half being paid by the UK government. This would give a much needed lift to the UK population and the hospitality industry.
