Licensing Act 2003 at End of Pandemic Allowed open earlier & remain open late?
Licensing Act 2003 Government should relax individual rules upto 8months+ on hospitality & licenced premises pub/night time economy premises can open earlier & close late or stay open longer to support the closers during 2020 pemdemic at end of UK emergency..!
relax of licensing rules upto 8 months after pandemic so more flexibility premises open early & night economy suffered during 2020. This give this industry a boost. Rules opening and closing times are relax as long individual premises has right premises protections in place!

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Under the Licensing Act 2003 it is up to individual local authorities, not the Government or House of Commons, to set opening hours for hospitality venues in particular localities.
We could accept a petition calling on the Government to permit all hospitality venues to open for extended hours after the pandemic, but you would need to be clear exactly what changes you wanted the Government to make to licensing rules. You would also need to provide your full name.
