Face Scanners
Tesco's proposed use of face-scanners to target advertising seeks to track consumer buying habits without their permission and make these public through targeted advertising. Whilst this in itself contravenes the Data Protection Act, if allowed, it will inevitably lead to tie-ins with search engines, credit cards and so on, making private information visible to all.
