To follow Pfizer’s recommended Covid Vaccination Schedule.
We want the U.K. Government & NHS England to vaccinate frontline workers and vulnerable people with an evidence based dosing regime as per Pfizer’s vaccine schedule.
We want 94% protection from the Pfizer vaccine not 52% from one dose and an aspiration that half protection may better than none.
Pfizer’s recommends its Covid19 vaccine is given as 2 doses 21-35 days apart. Although partial protection from the vaccine appears to begin as early as 12 days, Pfizer stresses that 2 doses are required to provide the maximum protection. Pfizer’s study was designed to evaluate the vaccine’s safety and efficacy following a two-dose schedule, 21 days apart. No other dosing schedules have been evaluated. There is no data to demonstrate that protection after 1 dose is sustained after 21 days.

The delays to receiving the second dose of a Covid-19 vaccine has been implemented by the NHS following advice from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI), which advises UK health departments on immunisation, which has also been supported by the UK's four Chief Medical Officers. Their new advice and the changes to the Covid-19 vaccination programme are consistent with the temporary authorisations granted for these vaccines by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency.
The JCVI, Chief Medical Officers, MHRA and NHS England are all independent and operationally independent of the UK Government, so we cannot accept petitions calling for actions that these bodies are responsible for.
