Petition Action

Get aseptically, sterility trained people to volunteer to administer vaccine.

Petition Details

Ask regulated industries -pharmacists, contract laboratories, pharmaceuticals for volunteers. Use electoral register to organise vaccinations & ensure record is kept. Use churches. School halls as vaccination centres, with one lead healthcare professional in each centre, to ensure correct protocol

Additional Information

This could reduce vaccination time for the UK from 12 to 6 months ... Reducing risk of more deaths which currently stands at around 900 per day, eases pressure on the NHS, and would enable the economy to snap back later in 2021, allowing life to return to normal

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. The Government has set up large vaccination centres across the country. You can find out more here: www.england.nhs.uk/2021/01/more-than-30-new-vaccination-centres-join-biggest-nhs-jab-drive/

The training recommendations for Covid-19 vaccinators are set by Public Health England, and the application process for joining the NHS Covid-19 vaccination team is managed by the NHS. Both Public Health England and the NHS are operationally independent of the Government, and decisions about this guidance and recruitment are matters for them, not the Government or House of Commons.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
