Petition Action

Amend the law to criminalise the distribution of misinformation in the pandemic.

Petition Details

to take action against the online distribution of misinformation in order to protect the NHS and save lives. People believing this misinformation are harming thierselves and others by doing various things from visiting hospitals to photograph them, to encouraging vaccine refusal.

Additional Information

You have a responsibility to protect the lives of the citizens of the UK. Covid denial is undermining that obligation, when we are seeing celebrities flaunting the rules and no action being taken it is furthering the strength of misinformation. You need to enable an act of Parliament which crimanilises this activity and carry a hefty fine or jail sentence. This in order to continue the national obligation to protect the NHS and save lives. The impact of this activity on NHS staff is abysmal.
