Extend the self-assessment filing deadline to 31/3/2021.
I run a small accountancy firm in South London and have seen first-hand the effect that COVID has had on small business.
Countless have lost business, are stressed and/or struggling to pay their tax. In addition, with schools closing now for a few weeks the need for this to happen is very pressing.
The precedent has also been set by Limited Company accounts being extended automatically by 3 months.
I feel the same should apply here.
