Make GCSE and A-Level exams optional in 2021
Make exams for GCSEs and A-Levels 2021 optional. There should be a choice whether students due to sit exams this year do the exam, or take a teacher assessed grade.
Students due to take exams this summer have faced a massive disadvantage since March 2020. Some has online lessons and some have had to teach themselves. Schools/colleges opened again in September but the disadvantage did not stop there. Repeated isolation and staff absence have kept affecting students and to run exams this year would just be unfair. Making exams optional would ensure each student has a fair chance of getting the best grade they possibly can under the circumstances of 2020/2021.
