Prioritise early years workers for receiving Covid-19 vaccinations
The UK is once again in national lockdown in order to control the spread of Covid-19. While schools and workplaces are closed, early years settings have remained open, providing a vital service to working parents and enabling our youngest children to continue learning and receiving care.
Young children are not able to socially distance and the nature of the work requires close contact and intimate care, while at the same time wearing PPE is not recommended. Early years workers are at high risk and deserve the protection afforded by early vaccination, in order that they can continue the vital work that they do.
