Petition Action

The Government & Universities to hold a discussion about the impact on students.

Petition Details

A lot of petitions have been "debated" without any changes, mainly resulting with this response "Universities are responsible for setting their own fees" As a Full-Time student, this is not enough. As a Government you have declared a third National Lockdown, with many restrictions.

Additional Information

You have failed to recognise how these restrictions has impacted Students. Students are currently learning remotely, this is NOT a true reflection of the face-to-face taught tuition fee of £9,250+. Students are also paying up to £7000+ for accommodation that; they cannot commute to or from, is not their current residence and where there is no access to facilities. Talks are needed where these issues are highlighted and addressed. A change for the future successors of this country is needed.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
