Prioritise Priority 2 cancer patients to have surgery ASAP
Kings College hospital has cancelled Priority 2 cancer operations. Priority 2 are deemed urgent and should be done within 28 days of discovery to ensure the cancer doesn’t spread and chances of survival can be maximised. Cancer patients are being left devastated by this news, with no surgery date.
The government must protect all cancer patients and their treatment, especially those whose prognosis depend on surgery. Priority two cancer surgeries must still go ahead and all cancelled operations given a new surgery date as soon as possible.
