Ensure affordability is not a barrier to participating online.
A recent study (18/12/2020) by Ofcom identified nearly one in five (19%) reported at least one affordability issue with their communications services in the last month, corresponding to around 4.7 million households.
The government has introduced a third lockdown with education and many other services moving entirely online.
This will disadvantage those from poorer backgrounds and so it is vital the government works with providers to give immediate support.
