Properly compensate HE students for their losses due to Covid-19 Pandemic.
Mandate that:
Universities and other higher education providers must offer academic compensation and/or offer alternative assessment for this 2020/2021 academic year.
Students will receive a tuition fees rebate of at least 50% for this academic year.
Students who have paid rent for specifically ‘student housing’ or university accommodation fees in places far from their family homes will receive government financial support to pay it over the coming months of lockdown or until such time the government advice is no longer that students ‘should not’ return to their residences.
