Make it law that all dogs must have gentic & full health tests before breeding
To make it law that a person who intends to breed their dog. To make sure both parent dogs are genetically tested and fully health tested
To reduce unwell dogs. Stop the spread of genetic diseases.
We took on a pup at 8 weeks old. I spent 12 months fighting to get him tested, referred and diagnosed.
At the time when taking the dog on I wasnt totally aware on how much an impact genetic diseases would effect a dog.
Our dog lost his life at 15 months old.
We still didnt have a full diagnosis but it was genetics that played a part.
He had a heart issue and he also had neurological issues. By making it a law that all testing must be done. We could stop dogs suffering. And families suffering
