Petition Action

Close click and collect in non essential shops during national lockdown

Petition Details

Non essential shops are allowed to remain open via click and collect, many stores have online delivery available and this is not essential it is not essential to go out and buy clothes and homeware. In shops that are deemed in essential they should be completely closed until its safe to open them.

Additional Information

The numbers of covid are still high, why are the public allowed to leave home to collect non essential goods, shops may as well stay open. Keeping click and collect open puts the public at risk. BUT also the staff that are working there, the rate of infection is so high and staff are still getting ill despite only going between work and home. Shops need to be closed to prevent staff and public from further risk of catching Covid. They are non essential and supermarkets provide all essentials.
