Petition Action

Raise the covid 19 vaccine priority level for staff in the early years

Petition Details

Staff in early years need to be further up the list for vaccine priority ideally inline with frontline health and social care workers we are risking our lives to care for the nations young children mixing with 30-100 families a week depending on the early years setting

Additional Information

In early years we work with children who will be asymptomatic with covid, we are part of the few key workers who are encouraged not to wear PPE the rest of the educational sector has been shut down temporarily where as we remain open unprotected due to our roles are carers for the very young we can not socially distance from children at work you can not comfort a child under 5 from 6 feet away when they are upset. Some of us are effectively mixing with 30-100 families a week putting us at risk
