Petition Action

Cancel GCSEs in 2022 and replace with coursework and/or tutor assessment

Petition Details

Cancel GCSEs in 2022 for children currently in Year 10 due to insufficient consistent classroom teaching and inadequate online learning. Act now to give children the best chance to succeed in their final year. Give schools the opportunity to prepare and arrange an alternative method of assessment.

Additional Information

Children are our future. Insufficient classroom learning and inadequate online learning for the majority of this year, the year their GCSE knowledge is actually founded, does not provide suitable, consistent support to achieve sufficient grades to progress. Online learning does not provide sufficient support or give teachers the opportunity to judge emotions/behaviours and ensure every child is meeting’s his/her expectations. Children's mental health has been affected as has their physical health!
