Transgender "Postcode Lottery"
I'm a Trans-woman currently living in Lancashire and awaiting treatment at Leeds Gender Identity Clinic.
Even after my treatment there begins, I will not be eligible for treatments such as laser hair removal for my facial and body hair, except for the essential areas required for the surgery.
However, if I lived 5 miles away, over the border into Yorkshire, these treatments would be available as a matter of course.
Body image is essential to Trans-people, especially male to female, as part of their mental health and wellbeing. It is unfair and discriminatory to leave this to a "Postcode Lottery" like so many other health related issues, and the Government should make this available to all with this condition.
