Extend Universal Credit 6 months period and provide extra financial support
Universal Credit should be extended after 6 months period and provide extra financial support on top of monthly payment to cover necessary expenses for those who lost their jobs due to Covid-19.
With current situation and another national lockdown, those who lost their jobs due to Covid-19 and have been forced to join Universal Credit should get extra 3 months of UC support after 6 months period is finished, plus an extra financial support on top of their monthly payments to be able to cover necessary expenses. Current financial support from UC is insufficient and 6 months of this support is not enough due to current circumstances.
