Stop Digital exclusion for underprivileged children
To ensure that a child’s education isn’t effected the UK Government must support disadvantaged children with there education especially at the time of school closures. Underprivileged Children must be given access online platforms to do school work from home using laptops education matters for all.
Many Children living in poverty are at a disadvantaged compared to their fellow school peers. Those eligible for free school meals, only 25% achieved grades 9-5 in GCSE English and Maths in 2019, compared with 50% of all other pupils. Many disadvantaged children are learning from home and are unable to access the same online learning resources as those who can. The UK is within a position to make the impacts of digital exclusion worse for underprivileged children which will fall behind at school.
