Pay those who can’t work due to COVID or having to isolate furlough pay too
Those who are working through the pandemic are putting themselves on the front line and are at most risk of catching this virus. Yet if we do and then have to come off work we only get SSP.
You have people off work being paid furlough because they can’t work.
Yet the people working through the pandemic are at a higher risk of catching it. If we did and had to have time off work we then only get £95 a week. While people who haven’t worked at all during this pandemic - those who are at home safe from the virus are still getting 80% of their pay. The furlough scheme should be allowed for those who have to be off work due to having COVID or have to isolate due to close contact.
