Allow students to retake the academic 2020/2021 year
Teacher assessments is unfair to students who have missed out on one years worth of education. In these unprecedented times we should allow students and families to have a say on the youths future as per their democratic rights.
Allow students in Secondary and Families in Primary is to have their say on whether they feel the academic year 2020 to 2021 should be repeated. The pandemic has resulted in lost learning with many unable to access online lessons. We run the risk of widening the attainment gap further, adding pressures to our health system as a result of rising mental health and impact future choices and career path. E.g a students dream of becoming a nurse squashed by lost learning in English, Maths & Science.
