All supermarkets to enforce wearing of face coverings and use of sanitising
We want all supermarkets to ensure all PPE is complied but are not monitoring customers using sanitisers prior to entry or wearing face covering unless exemption lanyard worn.
The government needs to make it clear these businesses need to do more to safeguard their customers and staff
We want supermarkets to enforce these guides
No face covering or exception lanyard no entry
Not wearing face covering correctly they are marshalled to either comply or leave the premises
Enforced to use sanitiser or their own pre entry
Ensure all trolleys and basket handles are sanitised prior to use
If supermarkets don’t comply they get fined

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The Government is responsible for the regulations regarding requirements to wear face coverings, and other Covid-19 restrictions, but enforcing these is a matter for local police forces, not individual supermarkets.
We have published the following petition, which you might like to sign:
Make it an offence for shops to sell items to persons not wearing face coverings: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/548576
