Petition Action

Stop Government's Highways England from stacking Lorries at Aycliffe Dover

Petition Details

Instruct Highways England to move the traffic restriction, called the "Traffic Access Protocol" or "TAP", back 2 miles.

Additional Information

The 1,000s of Lorry queuing cause exhaust fumes to drift all over the 100's of people who live on the Aycliffe Estate including children in our school. We also suffer the blasting of Horns day and night. The Lorry drivers are given no facilities, not even Toilets. Often the Lorry drivers think our Estate may be a shortcut but it is a dead end and Lorries get stuck blocking access and egress to and from our homes.
