Increase UK content for UK Renewable / Energy projects and protect UK Jobs
Engage with developers at initial phase and enforce a majority percentage of UK content supplied services / products.
By ensuring a large number of skilled highly paid jobs it will only benefit the economy with the jump start it needs after the devastating levels of unemployment resulting after the Covid crisis. Also to deliver on promises / statements made by government after we leave the EU

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand you want more involvement for UK companies and materials in energy projects, however it's not clear what you want the Government to do to achieve this. Further, the materials and suppliers any individual business chooses to use would be a matter for them, not the UK Government or Parliament.
You could start a petition calling on the Government to create a green jobs fund for which only UK residents are eligible, if that is something you'd like to happen.
