Petition Action

That the next Honours List be restricted to key workers only.

Petition Details

I would just like a one-off Honours List that pays tribute to those who have continued to work during the pandemic, especially (but not limited to) public sector staff. I believe it would be a fitting recognition of their efforts to put country before self.

Additional Information

Too often we read and hear about Honours being handed out to celebrities, sports personalities and party political donors. By leaving such people off the Honours List, this would help restore some measure off trust in British politics.

There is a separate form for nominating someone for an honour for coronavirus-related work: www.gov.uk/honours/nominate-someone-for-coronavirus-work
