Government to help support students financially with student accommodation
We want the government to help support students financially that are now paying for student accommodation, both through the university and privately, but cannot live in them due to lockdown rules
Students have be told not to live in their accommodation or travel to them during this lockdown, however, they still have to pay the fees for them. We want the government to contribute towards the fees during this lockdown as we find it unfair that we still are under contract to pay but told by the government we should not live in them.
The government should be helping students during these hard times instead of turning their backs on us.
