Make Allergy testing free in the UK
Make allergy testing free within the UK as part of the NHS. If someone has been referred to by a dr or specialist for testing, then the service should be free on the NHS.
Allergic reactions can be extremely dangerous, they can cause asthma attacks, anaphylactic shock, and even death! Hospital admissions due to allergic reactions are on the increase and testing only done after a very severe reaction.
A staggering 44% of British adults suffer from at least one allergy and the number of sufferers is on the rise (Mintel, 2010)
In the 20 years to 2012 there was a 615% increase in the rate of hospital admissions for anaphylaxis in the UK (Turner, Paul J., et al, 2015)
