Review decision to reject an EU offer of 90 day visa-free tours for musicians
The Uk Govt has refused the standard proposal offered by the EU to exempt performers from the substantial cost & bureaucracy of applying for visas that will now instead be mandatory to travel & perform in EU countries
The Govt are failing to recognise the UK music industry as a key national asset
We feel, with all our hearts, that the decline of this offer is not in the interest of the people and communities that make up this country. That it is, in fact, severely detrimental - not only to all those who partake in the vast array of sectors within the music industry, but to all those whose live's benefit from its existence
This decision comes after the Govt repeatedly assured music bodies that a Brexit deal would protect touring performers, as well as their support teams and equipment

Petitions sessions and debates are an opportunity for MPs to discuss the important issues raised by petitions, however they cannot directly change the law or result in a vote to implement the request of the petition.
