Revisit & remove properties from Section 1 of Child act 1989.
Section 1 of the child act 1989 is flawed and used as money grab rather than the child's interest.
-Remove property gain from the act.
-Forbid multiple applications
-Forbid applications for children over 18
-Act shall only be applicable for incomes over £250,000
-Consider applicant's income
This section has been widely used to strip father's from life savings and work.
This act is currently used as a loophole from unmarried parents to sponsor a lifestyle not for the sake of children's interest.
This current section has led to many bankruptcies and suicides.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We're not exactly sure what you want to happen. For example, we're not sure whether you want all parents who have custody of children to not be entitled to the assets of the other parent, or for this to only apply when the other parent has an income under £250,000.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you'd like to happen.
