Petition Action

Increased penalties to deter the rise in the despicable crime of pet theft

Petition Details

The rise in pet theft in the UK is causing huge distress to animal lovers.
Current penalties simply do not reflect the severity of the impact upon families.
A strong message needs to be sent to criminals that this offence will result in a lengthy custodial sentence.

Additional Information

I believe the government should now bring in sentencing that will address the rapid increase in this type of theft.
