Make it easier for dentists and healthcare staff to deliver Covid vaccine
Delivering the Covid vaccine is a huge task for the NHS. To help aid in the program, it should be made easier for dentists, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to be trained in delivering the vaccine, so that the vaccine can be rolled out as quick as possible.
Dentists, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals are trained in managing patients within their own respective fields but have general medical knowledge and are trained to work with the public in a medical setting.
With some hands on training, a huge number of healthcare professionals will be available to deliver the vaccine, which could be performed at dental practices and pharmacies, in order to safely vaccinate the public.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The training recommendations for Covid-19 vaccinators are set by Public Health England, and the application process for joining the NHS Covid-19 vaccinaton team is managed by the NHS. Both Public Health England and the NHS are operationally independent of the Government, and decisions about this guidance and recruitment are matters for them, not the Government or House of Commons.
The Government's UK COVID-19 vaccines delivery plan also sets out how healthcare workers and a wider range of professionals, including dentists, will support the rollout of Covid-19 vaccines: assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/951284/UK_COVID-19_vaccines_delivery_plan.pdf
