The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme is available to employers, including early years settings, that cannot maintain their workforce because their operations have been affected by coronavirus, although the Government's guidance for the scheme states that if businesses have staff costs that are publicly funded (even if the employer is not in the public sector), they should use that money to continue paying staff, and not furlough them.
We have published the following petitions, which you might like to sign:
Early years - support the sector, fund Covid costs and provide regular testing: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/567756
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
