Call for a national day of prayer to counter the impact of COVID-19
In conjunction with Christian churches to set a date for a National Day of Prayer to be held against the growth and impact of Covid-19.
Despite actions the Government has taken, Covid-19 continues to be a major peril to society and it will still be many months until the vaccines have been administered to sufficient of the population to reduce the danger and enable economic, social, cultural, recreational and other aspects of normal behaviour to be fully resumed. Therefore, in line with the precedent set by King George VI in May 1940, the Government should set a date and call for a National Day of Prayer.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Prayer is a matter for individuals and religious institutions, not the Government or House of Commons.
