We request a national day of gratitude and celebration for Mental Health workers
To ensure these workers get the recognition that they richly deserve and to highlight the workload they have faced during the epidemic, and will do so as a consequence of it, for many years to come.
Our NHS Mental Health and Social Care workers have often been 'forgotten' during the course of the Covid-19 epidemic. Mental Health wards have been full for months with community workloads at an unprecedented level. We are facing the worse mental health crisis in our history. Whilst all attention is on the primary care hospital, please let us also remember these women and men who work in the most difficult of circumstances, sacrificing so much for the mental health of the nation.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The Government isn't responsible for designating national days.
We could accept a petition calling for the Government to create a new bank holiday in recognition of mental health workers, if that's something you would like to happen.
