Make all conditional offers to UK Universities unconditional for 2021 applicants
Instruct Universities to make conditional offers unconditional for applicants regardless of their grades given. The only fairest way of assessing linear qualifications this year has been scrapped due to rising Covid cases, classroom tests will never be fair for every student in the country.
I was disadvantaged in 2020 when I received a CAG which was lower than I expected, I retook and got the grade I wanted. If I was in the situation of applying to University last year I wouldn’t of got into my firm or my insurance choice relying on CAG’s. Having university offers changed into unconditional offers for all applicants will allow relieve the stress off applicants and allow them to take the time to plan their next steps in their academic life during this difficult and uncertain time.
