Fund laser hair removal free on the NHS for women with polycystic ovaries (PCOS)

Petition Details

I’m a 29 year old women who has suffered with PCOS since being 18. Symptoms include Hair growth, Hair loss, Depression, and Infertility.

Nothing has effected me more mentally than the hair growth. Its something I can't hide from other people and it breaks my heart.

Additional Information

Laser hair removal for women with PCOS should be free on the NHS. Figures suggest that one in 10 women have PCOS - which roughly translates into 3.5 million women in the UK - making it a very common condition. This is not something we've asked for, it's not to be vain or a beauty procedure it's to help women who struggle with PCPS have one less thing to worry about in the long list of symptoms we already have to struggle with.
