Petition Action

We want the UK's existing workers rights to be enshrined in law

Petition Details

We want parliament to enshrine workers rights as they are into law. They're to be kept inline with EU regulations and not lowered say to US standards which are far lower.

We must keep the WTD which will protect employees from bosses who want to lower workers rights

Additional Information

The only way to make the UK competitive outside of the EU is to lower standards, even then the threat of tariffs being applied to our exports may well put off companies investing in the UK.

No one voted to see their rights and standards lowered.

In my view Brexit was all about deregulation.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Existing employment rights are already set out in law. We could accept a petition calling on the Government to tie UK employment rights to EU rights, but you would need to provide your full name in order for us to open your petition.
