This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you want the Government to lower the retirement age, but we're not sure if you just want the Government to lower the age at which people become entitled to the state pension, or to make other changes to employment rights of people aged over 65. Your petition refers to allowing over 65s to stay on to help with training, but it's not clear if you otherwise don't want to be able to remain in employment.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
