Petition Action

Remove restrictions on motorcycle training (CBT Course) for critical workers.

Petition Details

The Government should review the current Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) restrictions and allow Covid-secure motorcycle training to take place for critical workers. CBT courses can be operated in a Covid-secure way as proven during the first lockdown in 2020.

Additional Information

The current restriction on motorcycle training is causing severe knock-on effects for our critical workers who rely on a motorcycle or scooter as their sole and safe means of transport for their essential work. Delivery riders are losing their jobs without being able to renew their CBT license, doctors and supermarket staff are unable to get to work. Allowing CBT courses for critical workers will help keep these essential people safely moving, in work and in the UK’s efforts against Covid-19.
