Recognise Latinos/Hispanics as an ethnicity

Petition Details

Latinos in the United Kingdom are known to be one of the fastest growing ethnic minorities, yet still haven't been recognised as an ethnicity.

This is crucial as it has an effect on many day to day activities such as jobs, medical care, eduction and housing plus many more...

Additional Information

As a latino myself in every from I have ever filled in I have always been told to pick the "other" box for my ethnicity. We are no "other", we are a whole continent of people and are very proud of our culture and heritage. Many of us feel as though we are invisible, as most people don't even know we exist in this country yet there are between 200,000 and 500,000 people whom identify as latino in the uk.

In addition, there is an extreme lack in help and support to the community.
