Petition Action

Add ‘Narcissistic Abuse’ to the Department of Educations Categories of Abuse.

Petition Details

Narcissistic Abuse is a Worldwide toxicity affecting millions of people. Adding Narcissistic abuse to the Governments Abuse categories would enable the Police, Mental Health/Child Protection Teams to identify, prove and ultimately provide justice to those victims & children of domestic abuse.

Additional Information

It would significantly change the way current services and organisations operate. It would change the way people treat and behave towards one another in society once and for all. Individuals who have narcissistic tendencies would be made to be accountable for their own behaviours rather than victim blaming. The behaviours exhibited from a narcissistic individual are completely textbook. The behaviours can also be evidenced by the copious amounts of research on narcissistic personalities.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. The Government already identifies emtoional abuse as a safeguarding risk, but were not aware of a specific list that provides more specific exmaples.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do, such as funding training for educational professionals and/or others on Narcissistic abuse
