Politicians should not be allowed to use social media.
Politicians should delete their official/public social media accounts and post any information that they want the public to see on the government website, under a new sub-section or a new government site that's easily accessible.
Social media sites are private platforms that regularly ban people under their shakey and undefined terms of service and should not be recognised as public speaking grounds. Politicians should not be influenced by echo chambers full of false narratives and international interference. Private platforms that call themselves "social media" and interfere with information should not be given validation by any government.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. It's a decision for individuals whether or not to sign up to private sites, and whether people want to view or follow their tweets.
