Reconsideration the theft act relevance to dog theft & explicit dog theft act.
Reconsideration of a new dog theft specific law providing higher penalties for stealing a dog and an aggravating factor if the handler is injured.
Because, the public keep signing similar petitions and its obvious this is what we the public want. Yet they seem to keep ignoring us. More needs to be done and there are plenty of charities ready to help the government so this. The penalty for dog specific theft could be higher fines, higher prison sentences than the current theft act allows There is no deterrent for someone stealing a dog. The animal welfare act in regards to dog theft, is useless as you'd have to prove distress to the dog.
