Discuss making parliamentary institutions more efficient before other unnecessary cuts
Cuts need to be made, this is obvious and the right thing to do.
However, the inefficiency of public services, including councils, governmental departments and parliamentary privileges, is more unnecessary than cutting the productiveness of the health service by bureaucratic box ticking or decreasing welfare benefits on the basis of having an extra bedroom.
The government needs to look 'in house' to weed out any spending that is not really needed, which would make the UK political system more efficient and effective.
The chancellor of the exchequer is making correct decisions, but a lot more can be done in the way of cost-cutting.
