NO MORE FRONTED ADVERBIALS - LET KIDS BE CREATIVE
I want the Government to reconsider the English language curriculum for primary school children so they can be given more freedom and space to be creative in their writing.
Primary children are being forced to learn the mechanics of the English language way beyond what I believe to be necessary and I think it will stunt our future creatives.
I understand the need for teaching the basics of English Language - but I believe the current curriculum is turning writing into a burden.
It doesn't matter to a child what a fronted adverbial or relative clause is - what does matter is that our children are given the time and space be creative in their writing.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. We understand you'd like changes to the English Language curriculum, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like to change.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
